Drop-In Center & Day Shelter

A safe place for neighbors to come inside for warmth, a meal, basic supplies, and practical help connecting to housing, mental health, and addiction services.

Inclement Weather Shelter

A safe, low-barrier place to get inside during severe cold or storms, no ID or fees, behavior-based expectations, warm bed and meal, and next-day resource connections.

2nd Street

Drop-In Center &
Day Shelter

The Drop-In Center is a friendly, low-barrier space for community members to connect with support. Guests can access basic needs and resource navigation, including mental health and addiction services, peer-support, housing and employment support.

  • Hot coffee/tea, snacks, and light meals

  • Warming/cooling space and charging stations

  • Hygiene and basic needs supplies 

  • Mail/general delivery and internet/Wi-Fi

  • Resource navigation: IDs, benefits, referrals (housing, medical, mental health, recovery)

  • Peer support and community connection

Hours of Service: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM at 504 E 1st St, Newberg, OR 97132.

Transit & access: On bus line; ADA accessible; service animals welcome.

Inclement

Weather Shelter

When temperatures drop low or conditions become unsafe, CWC activates emergency sheltering in partnership with Northside Community Church. We provide a warm bed, a hot meal, and care 7 pm – 7 am.

What guests can expect:

  • Indoor overnight shelter with cots/blankets
  • Dinner and breakfast to-go; warm beverages
  • Basic medical supplies and wellness checks
  • Transportation support (as available)
  • Connection to ongoing services after activation

Volunteer & Support:

  • Volunteers needed for  meal support

  • Donations: blankets, gloves, hand warmers, ready-to-eat meals
